Last-Mile Delivery Services Begin in Teton Village

Visitors exploring Teton Village, Wyoming, this season may spot a new addition weaving quietly through the Village core as we launch our last-mile delivery services. The compact, low-speed electric carts will be known as “Village Couriers.” While their size and silence may be eye-catching, their true purpose is even more important. Our delivery carts lie at the heart of the Teton Village Association’s (TVA) new E-Delivery Program, designed first and foremost to make Teton Village safer for everyone, whether they’re carrying skis, pushing strollers, or simply enjoying a day out.

Our new partnership with TVA has redesigned its entire delivery system to remove large delivery trucks from the pedestrian-dense village core. Traditionally, food and beverage distributors navigated Granite Loop Road and McCollister Drive each day, often during peak morning foot traffic. Our last-mile delivery services flip that model on its head. All participating distributors now unload their products at a centralized cross-dock in the TVA Maintenance Yard, just east of the Ranch Parking Lot. There, our team checks in, sorts, and transfers goods onto our small, zero-emission electric carts, which deliver to each property’s designated receiving area, completing our efficient, low-impact “last-mile” delivery.

Safety is the driving force behind this change and all of our last-mile delivery services. By shifting large delivery trucks away from busy walkways and the high-traffic village, the program removes potential conflicts between pedestrians and large trucks.

The benefits of this approach extend well beyond logistics. By consolidating deliveries at a single location, the program dramatically reduces the number of large trucks driving along Granite Loop Road and McCollister Drive. This shift not only improves safety for visitors and staff but also eases pressure on the Village’s most frequented pedestrian zones. Reduced idling and fewer diesel engines contribute to cleaner air, quieter walkways, and a more pleasant year-round environment.

“This pilot is one of the most exciting innovations we’ve introduced in years,” said Meghan Quinn, Executive Director of TVA. “By taking delivery trucks off our streets, we’re creating a safer, cleaner, more vibrant, and truly walkable mountain village.”

Distributors also stand to benefit through increased efficiency. With a single drop-off point rather than multiple stops throughout the Village, suppliers can complete routes more quickly while reducing fuel usage.

With this initiative, Teton Village is setting a new standard for mountain communities where safety, sustainability, and guest experience all move forward together.
