Community Efforts

The Vail E-Delivery services are changing the world of first and last-mile delivery by helping the community optimize safety, congestion, and environmental goals with micromobility solutions. The Town of Vail and the larger Eagle County community have become increasingly proactive in addressing climate change through their local Climate Action Plan. The initiatives, shaped by community engagement and collaboration, emphasize the importance of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting safe and sustainable tourism. Community involvement plays a critical role as the local residents, businesses, and environmental organizations work together to implement initiatives to deliver on GHG emission reductions within the buildings, materials management, energy supply, and transportation sectors. The Town of Vail’s dependence on outdoor recreation and a safe walking village makes the community highly aware of climate impacts and congestion, motivating collective efforts to enjoy a year-round economy. Through education, advocacy, and shared responsibility, the Climate Action Collaborative fosters a sense of environmental stewardship, ensuring long-term resilience for the valley and its ecosystem.

The Town of Vail and 106West Logistics partnership supports the Climate Action Collaborative’s efforts in the transportation sector through first and last-mile delivery solutions with low-speed electric vehicles (LSEV). By reducing the number of fossil fuel-based delivery trucks in the Vail Village, our program helps lower greenhouse gas emissions and traffic congestion, contributing to cleaner air and a safer and more efficient walking village. Integrating this micromobility initiative into the Eagle County Climate Action Plan enhances the transportation sector’s overall sustainability, reduces environmental footprints, and promotes safer, healthier, more active lifestyles in the valley.

E-Delivery Services

We aim to enhance the everyday experience of the locals, businesses, distributors, and visitors enjoying the world-renowned Vail Village. With our load and delivery service, we worked with the Town of Vail to create one location for large delivery trucks to unload their products in an underground garage, and we deliver the products to restaurants, bars, and businesses using small, low-speed electric vehicles (LSEV).

Vail was experiencing the safety hazards of large delivery trucks congesting the walking village and idling for hours daily. Through our e-delivery services, we can handle a full truckload carrying 1,200 cases in about 60 minutes while the truck is turned off at our dock, and we simultaneously deliver the products. This would normally take four to six hours while the truck moves throughout the Vail Village, idling during each delivery stop, creating safety hazards for pedestrians walking to grab a coffee, go skiing, or simply enjoy the beauty of the Vail Village.

Make an impact on your community’s Climate Action Plan.

We love how simple, easy and efficient they make delivering to accounts in Vail Village.
